Advice Please.

Hello everyone.

I hope to start this as a regular thing once my current crisis is passed. I had so many plans for this Blog but since starting I've pretty much had the world thrown at me.

Last year I started to feel pains in my hip/pelvis area, when I went to A&E they found a lump, I suffer with lumps anyway because I have a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis which can cause these lumps to grow on nerve endings. Most times they are benign but the can become cancerous. They can become what's called a Malignant Peripheral Nerve. Sheath Tumour ( MPNST), this has happened to me.

I have had 6 weeks of radiotherapy and treatment on it and that has helped stop growth but obviously I need surgery. Late March (ish) I will be having this operation at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.

The operation is going to take two days to do and is very complicated as they are working around the pelvis... I am so concerned about what is to come and if anyone who's may have had anything similar can you give me some advice/motivation.

I don't normally like to ask for help or advice like this but this is a very special exception.
