5 Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off Adventure!

Spin-Offs are always weird to me when done right a Spin-Off is a beautiful, amazing adventure filled with thrills, spills and amazing stories, but when done badly its dark bottomless pit of filth, worms and things you just don’t want to think about. For example Fraiser a Spin-Off Cheers both two amazing series but Fraiser was equal to and in my opinion even better than Cheers; however there was a Jak and Daxter Spin-Off/Adventure on the PSP where Daxter became a bug exterminator in his attempt to rescue Jak as seen in Jak 2, in my opinion the PSP game of Daxter was a pointless waste of time that added nothing to the series. This is a list of characters (Across games and TV) that I feel if executed correctly could have an awesome Spin-Off Series/Solo Adventure. 

Beware some spoilers.

5 Kiane – Nier

Now I put this last because there technically was a Spin-Off, in Japan there was a book by the name of Grimoire Nier that provides a bit more to the story after the final ending of Nier (A.K.A Nier Gestalt or Nier Replicant). But despite this I want to see a Spin-Off where the foulmouthed half human-half shade badass woman going on a murderous rampage as she tries to survive in the messed up world in which Nier was set. Kiane was always a complex character with many levels of depth that could be explored so much more in another adventure.

4 Crowley – Supernatural

Supernatural is an amazing juggernaut of a TV Show that started great and got better year after year, in my opinion its stagnated slightly since season 9 but its still an amazing show thanks to the Crossroad demon turned King of Hell Crowley. Crowley is one of the most amazing characters he is wisecracking, powerful and a grand player of chess always being ten steps ahead of everyone, this character is crying out for his own series. Following his shady deals as a crossroad demon and the politics of hell Crowley’s Spin-Off would be amazing.  

" [UPDATE 12th Sept] I have now found out Crowley wont be back for season 13 of Supernatural so this will give more reason for a Spin-Off. Start the series when he is made into a demon and seeing his rise from the crossroad demon to the king of hell. " 

3 Ada Wong – Resident Evil Series

Ada Wong covert agent, umbrella spy, “The bi*ch in the red dress” and the woman who turns Leon S Kennedy into a giggling schoolboy with a crush, she is a resilient badass who can survive a whole horde of zombies only by using a grappling hook. We’ve already seen mini adventures of her through the RE series but I would love a full game where she goes full super spy diving into a city flooded with zombies and seeing her zip, slide and kill her way to a her goal. It would give a great game filled with shooting, stealth and horror survival.   

2 Sephiroth – Final Fantasy VII

Oh boy this was hard to put in 2^nd the super powerful soldier that is one of the best villains in video game history. He is dark, mysterious and comes from the cells of an alien named Jenova, he is responsible for one of the most heartbreaking deaths in all of gaming… poor Aerith; And finally my personal favourite point he is known as “The One Winged Angel” now as a wrestling fan this is amazing ala KENNY OMEGA the greatest wrestler in the world right now. Obviously he won’t be the white knight saving the day from the forces of evil it would be him returning to tear down all remnants of SHINRA, now this would be difficult but if written right he could be seen as a relatable and justified in his actions.

1 WayHaught – Wynonna Earp 

I love Wynonna Earp its one great series filled with jokes, references and Melanie Scrofano being a total badass in the title role its an amazing series that I highly suggest you all watch. Two supporting characters are Waverly Earp and Nicole Haught (Played by Dominique Provost-Chalkley and Katherine Barrell) the duo known as WayHaught. Together Dominique and Katherine are pure dynamite; they have a great on screen chemistry that shines amazingly, in a day and age where gay and lesbian relationships are fairly common on TV shows WayHaught manages to make it fresh and new. I would be supremely happy to see Dominique and Katherine go on a Spin-Off adventure just too strong, badass women fighting the forces of darkness and evil revenants. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want them away from Wynonna but I would love to see them going on their own adventure and not just backing up Wynonna.
